Description
This design by C.F.A Voysey is from a 1918 watercolour found in the archives of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London. Despite being first and foremost an architect, Voysey was also well known for his wallpapers and fabrics. He was ahead of his time in his desire to design ‘from the inside outwards’. This fabric is a sturdy jacquard weave, ideal for upholstery, curtains and cushions. Woven in the UK by a three-hundred-year-old mill, CommonRoom have retained the spirit of Voysey’s original watercolour by using different weaves to make up each of the motifs.
