Striking the balance between fun and “grown-up” in an older child's bedroom can be tricky. Luckily, our in-house Interior Designer Amy, has created two inspiring schemes designed specifically for young teens to support everything from sleep and study to downtime and self-expression. Discover her schemes below:

Centred around Mimi Pickard patterned fabrics in complementary colours, this scheme is just the right amount of fun! We would use a bolder fabric on central items such as a headboard and/or curtains and blinds. Adding a valance to the bed would elevate the look and bring a 'grown-up' feel.

Scheme Two takes its inspiration from this zig-zag stripe from Nicky Haslam. Anchored in bold primary colours, the look stays youthful and fresh, while clean plains add a touch of modern sophistication.
