We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of a capsule collection in collaboration with our Haines Curates designer, Jessie de Salis. Based in Somerset, Jessie runs a small textile studio where she hand screen-prints her designs onto natural fibres using water-based inks. Her ethos - rooted in a love for nature, sustainability, and slow production -beautifully aligns with our own values at Haines.
The inspiration for this collection began with Jules’s passion for encouraging mindful consumption, particularly the idea of "shopping secondhand first." Embracing Oxfam’s Secondhand September campaign - which promotes buying only secondhand fashion and donating pre-loved items throughout the month -Jules believes this philosophy should extend beyond clothing and into the home.
Together, Jessie and Jules have created a limited capsule collection of stylish, one-of-a-kind vintage furniture pieces, including ottomans, dining chairs, and pouffes. These items, collected over the years by Jules, have been carefully reupholstered using salvaged linen from a fabric printing house and adorned with Jessie’s hand screen-printed motifs.
Launching in September to coincide with Oxfam’s Secondhand September, this collection highlights how surplus textiles and vintage furniture can be transformed into beautifully crafted, design-forward pieces. Prices start at £450, and the full collection will be available through the Haines website.
We’re also excited to share that the collaboration will be featured in this month’s House & Garden - stay tuned!
